In the fall of 2025, I was invited to take part in some true hands-on experience with Tony Award-nominated Sound Designer Walter Trarbach. He and I met at the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Divine, where we worked together on setting up for a Public Works concert experience inspired by Shakespeare’s Pericles. I was able to work with all types of new sound equipment, from audio cables to headsets, and was thrilled to discover a new side of the industry in an unconventional performance space.
